A family business since 2021

Red River Valley CDL Training is a family-run school, established in 2021 to give new drivers personal, hands-on instruction from people who know the industry.

We started with a simple goal: put safe, knowledgeable drivers on the road. Our instructors are experienced professionals who know the trucking industry, and we keep classes small so every student gets real time behind the wheel.

We always go the extra mile to make sure we put safe and knowledgeable drivers on the road.

Over the years we’ve trained new drivers from across Minnesota and North Dakota, and we’ve taken our training on the road to companies throughout the upper Midwest. Whether you’re starting a new career or your company needs drivers licensed fast, we’ll treat you like a neighbor.

Training for your drivers, at your yard

Need to license several employees? We’ll bring the training to you. Red River Valley CDL works with companies across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin, with scheduling built around your operation.

Questions

How long does training take?

Most students complete behind-the-wheel training in one week. ELDT theory is online, so you can finish it on your own schedule before your start week.

When can I start?

We accept new students every week. After you buy a package, we’ll call to confirm your start date.

Should I get Class A or Class B?

Class A lets you drive tractor-trailers and almost anything in Class B and C, so it opens the most jobs. Class B covers straight trucks, dump trucks and buses, and is a good fit for local work.

I live in North Dakota. Can I train with you?

Yes. We’re a Minnesota school just across the river from Fargo, and we welcome North Dakota students.

What is ELDT?

Entry-Level Driver Training is the federal standard every first-time Class A or Class B applicant must complete before the skills test. Your training must come from a provider on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, like us.

Can I get a refund?

Call us before your start week and we’ll work it out. Our full refund policy is provided with your enrollment paperwork.
